The FinAce Quiz

Event description: Do you pride yourself on your knowledge of finance? Come test your skill at the Kuru Finance Quiz. Take part in rounds of word jumble and Pictionary, and don't forget to brush up on your GK! The quiz will be in the form of a Pictionary. It will be conducted in 2-3 rounds, each round having ten questions minimum. The questions will be a mix of Pictionary, a jumble of words and direct questions, etc. containing most questions of finance and some GK questions.

Judging Criteria: 

  • The event would be based on elimination in each round. 

  • Elimination would be done on the basis of the points scored by the teams and in the case of a tie, timings of the teams would be compared and considered.

Round 1 - Pictionary Round

Rules and Regulations:

  • One member of each team will send the answers to one of our volunteers through zoom. 

  • Each question will have a timer of around 1 minute and 30 seconds marks awarded within 45 seconds - 5 points and more than that time period would be 3 points. 

  • The video camera of all participants would have to be turned on at all times; at any point of casualties, participants would be given 2 warnings cap. 

  • All participants are supposed to have a good network connection.

  • The participants are supposed to use zoom chat for communicating with their partner; usage of cell phones is strictly prohibited.

  • Any type of copying or usage of various kinds of software or bots is prohibited if any of the participants is found engaging in such activities, the entire team would be disqualified.

  • Volunteers would be available to help you at any point if you have doubts.

  • To avoid chaos, one participant from each team would be allowed to present.

  • The number of rounds will depend on the number of registrations.

Round 2 - Breakout Event

Rules and Regulations:

  • One member of each team will send the answers to one of our volunteers through zoom.

  • The video camera of all participants would have to be turned on at all times; at any point of casualties, participants would be given 2 warnings cap. 

  • All participants are supposed to have a good network connection.

  • The participants are supposed to use zoom chat for communicating with their partner; usage of cell phones is strictly prohibited.

  • Any type of copying or usage of various kinds of software or bots is prohibited if any of the participants is found engaging in such activities, the entire team would be disqualified.

  • Volunteers would be available to help you at any point if you have doubts.

  • To avoid chaos, one participant from each team would be allowed to present.

Note: Each team would be broken into several breakout rooms and they would be given a specific amount of time assigned. This time would give them the freedom to solve as many rounds as possible for that particular task if they are done with one round. We would have one volunteer present in each break out room to invigilate and assist teams during the task. The marking and scoring for this round would be done on the basis of the number of right answers given by them also considering the number. of tasks they complete.

Round 3 - Final Buzzer Round

Rules and Regulations:

The final round is going to depend on the main session and would be considered as a buzzer round. This round would comprise of normal QnA quiz, while a certain question would be made open to all teams. The team that wishes to answer needs to either use the raise hand feature or calling out to the organizers.

 

If a team chooses to answer first and does not give the right answer they would be awarded a negative point.
