Its Time to Bargain

Event description: Love to Bargain and negotiate on deals either it be shopping, parents or even friends? Well then you have come to the right place, this event will test your creativity and negotiation skills. Bring your A-game!

Rules and Regulations:


  • This is a team bargaining event. 

  • Teams will be divided into sellers and buyers.

  • One team has to buy while the other needs to sell.

  • Each team will get the opportunity to be the buyer for one round and the seller of another. 

  • In each round, the seller and buyer have to bargain for a total of 5 products. 

  • The buying team is instructed to save as much as they can from the amount that has been assigned to them (eg. Rs. 1000). They also have to buy a minimum of 3 products.

  • The selling team is instructed to sell products for more than a particular amount.(eg. Rs. 1000). They also have to sell a minimum of 3 products.

  • Day 1 is divided into 2 parts. In the first part - half the teams are sellers and the other are buyers. In the second half, this order will be reversed. 

  • The profit of each team will decide which teams, get to move to Day 2. 

  • Day 2 consists of similar events except with certain twists that would be added for all teams. All other aspects remain the same as Day 1. 

  • All the price conditions given to every buyer-seller duo will be the same for a fair assessment.


  • A sale has to be made in every single round. 

  • The decision of Dare2Discuss is final in case of a tie. 

  • Maximum 2 members permitted in a team.

  • One participant cannot be a part of more than one team.

  • No change of Team structure is permitted after the team is registered.

  • The teams will be given 10 minutes for every sale. 

  • In case of no sale for 10 minutes, the time may be extended at the discretion of the moderator. 

  • In the case of no sale, the decision of the moderator is final. 

  • No arguments with the moderator would be entertained.

  • The teams must be respectful and should maintain decorum. 

  • The scores will be declared after every round. 

  • 8 teams will qualify for Day 2. In the event of a tie, the decision of the organizers will be final.

Judging Criteria: The team that has the maximum profit (to be calculated for when the team is a buyer and seller) will be the winners. The teams will be eliminated based on the profits they incur.
